PRIVACY CONTROLS AND
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
As more and more
computers are installed each day and with these
computers linked to the world wide web Privacy
Controls play an important role in maintaining ones
privacy. It has not been very long ago at all that
civilization around the world lived in close-knit
communities whose individuals were intimately
involved in each other’s lives on just about every
level: the personal, the professional, the
financial, the ethical, the moral and so on. For
better, for worse or for the indifferent, everyone’s
life in those days was an open book and privacy was
an issue to be rarely, if ever, concerned with.
Today, in the 21st century, many of us, particularly
those who live in the Western world, have lost the
communal aspect of living. We are now autonomous
individuals who prefer sharing as little as possible
with other individuals who in turn are also
autonomous individuals who, just like us, prefer
sharing as little as possible. Thus, we all guard
our personal and business information with much
fervor and passion to keep our privacy intact.
Privacy Controls become part and parcel of our daily
lives.
Unfortunately, the 21st century has also brought
with it high tech computers and global networking
through the World Wide Web. I said “unfortunately”
because just when we most zealously want to protect
our personal data, along come computers that make
accessing everything about us quick and easy. Stated
in different terms, computers have been depriving us
of the privacy control we all deem to be our
inherent right. With merely a few clicks of a mouse
button or a keyboard, any interested individual or
organization can effortlessly find out where we live
and under which circumstances, what properties we
own and their worth, where we shop and what we buy,
where we work and how much we earn, where we bank
and the sum totals of our accounts and so on and on.
It is the epitome of irony. On the one hand, when
people could have very easily guarded their personal
data, they found no need for it. On the other hand,
just when the quest for protecting personal data has
become such an imperative issue, it has also become
so much more difficult to shield from prying eyes.
This naturally leads me to the question, “What is
personal data?” As there was never a need for it
before, we are now all struggling to define it and
to draw its parameters. The courts and legislative
systems have become involved as more and more legal
cases have begun appearing before them and
government agencies have been set into motion as
activists have named the need for protecting person
data as a human rights issue. Some guidelines have
been established but, as of yet, there is no mutual
consensus and the debate continues.
I do not claim to have the
perfect formula under which to gauge what should or
could be considered personal data but I can tell you
that there is a way of protecting whatever you
believe to be your personal data by using
privacy
controls software programs that will afford you the
privacy Protection you so well deserve by clearing away
the traces of all your computer activities with ease
and confidence.

OFFICE PASSWORD RECOVERY
Office Password Recovery For Lost Or Forgotten
Passwords Made Easy.
By Julian
Pereira
Did you forget your Office Password? Need to
Recover Office Password? This article will
provide information to help restore access to
password protected Microsoft Office documents
quickly, easily and effectively.
We are living in a world full of computers that are
intended to enhance our lives with more efficiency
in our work, more proficiency in our endeavors, more
speedy access to global resources, more accuracy in
our calculations, more information at the tips of
our fingers, easier communication, a greater variety
of entertainment and so on. When it all works as we
have come to expect, we are as happy as can be.
However, when all does not continue to go as
smoothly as we have become accustomed to, the
frustration is enormous. This frustration can come
about when a Password is lost or forgotten and we
are unable to locate the password or to log into out
computer system.
Computers can be so very frustrating in, oh, so many
ways. Like any other mechanical object or electronic
device, computers can malfunction and break down;
hard drives can crash while removable drives can
fail; storage spaces can run out of capacity;
software can stop communicating with its hardware or
the hardware can cease reacting to software
commands. Furthermore, computers can very easily
contract all kinds of malicious malware such as
viruses, worms, spyware, adware, rootkits, phishing
and Trojan horses that can play havoc on program and
data files. As if all that is not enough, there is
one more issue about computers that leads to
matchless frustrations — lost or forgotten passwords
and how to go about office password recovery.
Office Passwords are applied as security measures to
protect private or sensitive official data from
nosey snoops or meddling busybodies. They are great
because they give you a degree of control over your
computer and a sense of ownership over its data.
However, what happens when passwords are forgotten?
Anger, aggravation, disappointment, helplessness.
Yes, you remembered the password yesterday and all
the days before then but today is an altogether
different day and the harder you try to rattle your
brain to know the office password, the less you
remember.
Stop panicking and pointlessly berating yourself and
your computer for forgetting the office password
that will enable you to access important documents
and your Microsoft Office files. After all, it can
happen to the best of us. Instead, get yourself that
single most important piece of software that will
help you recover this errant office password as well
as any other passwords you may lose or forget in the
future. The software I am talking about is the
Office Password Recovery Pro which is an all-in-one
program and it will find your password; no matter
how long it may be, no matter how complicated and no
matter what language or special characters were used
to formulate it. Office Password Recovery Pro
supports all versions of Microsoft Office (for MS
Word, Excel, MS PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) as
it will instantly unlock and recover all
restrictions applied to formatting and editing, it
will break through any locked cells as well as
shared protection passwords.
Just like you need a key to unlock the front door of
your home, you also need
Office Password Recovery Pro to unlock your
computer files.
You can get this software here.
Antivirus Software –
Protection From Anti-Virus Computer Infiltration.
Anti Virus
unlike other malicious
programs such as spyware, worms, adware, rootkits,
phishing and Trojan horses, viruses are computer
programs that have the uncanny capability of
propagating themselves to infect various system
files and they can be transmitted via networks, the
Internet, email, Instant Messaging, file sharing
channels as well as removable media such as floppy
disks, CDs, DVDs or USBs. Some computer viral
infections display symptoms that will eventually be
noticed by most computer users. However, the vast
majority of computer viruses are
surreptitious and cause havoc that goes undetected
long enough for the damage to be irreversible.
Those are the reasons that antivirus software
products are so crucially important.
Antivirus
software programs were originally created to
combat the computer viruses that began to spread in
the 1980s. Today’s more sophisticated antivirus
software programs are more prolific and, therefore,
able to identify and remove viruses along with all
other harmful malware. Upon finding any malware,
the antivirus software programs will quarantine or
encrypt the infected files to render them
inaccessible or ineffective; they will attempt to
repair the files by removing the malware but that
cannot always be accomplished successfully; or they
will delete the infected files entirely off the
system.
The antivirus
software programs are numerous and they all utilize
one or more of the following three key methods for
identifying malware:
·
The most frequently used is the
signature based detection method. This method
breaks files down to little segments and compares
contents of each of these segments against a
dictionary of virus signatures which is, in essence,
a listing of known virus codes. This method is
somewhat limited as it can run its comparison only
against known viruses and therefore will be unable
to detect any of the new ones. Antivirus software
that relies on the signature based detection method
requires frequent updates to its virus signature
dictionary and it is set up to examine all files
when the computer’s operating system creates, opens,
closes or emails them.
·
The malicious activity detection
method monitors the behavior of all programs and in
that way provides protection against new viruses.
Any suspicious behavior is reported to the computer
used to decide how to proceed — to reject or to
accept.
·
The heuristic-based detection
method is utilized by the higher end and most
advanced antivirus software and it is intended for
identifying new and yet unknown viruses. To
accomplish its task the antivirus software that uses
the heuristic-based detection method utilized one of
two techniques: a) File analysis – it analyzes
files containing suspicious and virus-like
instructions which can significantly slow the
computer down; or b) File emulation – it runs
programs in virtual environments, notes their
actions and performances and then determines whether
those programs are malicious or not.
Needless to say,
the optimal antivirus software and the one which is
most effective is that which utilizes a combination
of several of the above mentioned methods. The
Anti-Virus software I can recommend with full
confidence is Anti-Virus Plus software by
Paretologic. You can get their
Free Anti-Virus Scan here.
